I am a 19 year old with a passion for the arts, particularly music. I've been playing piano for about 10 years and have a deep admiration for the works of such composers as Chopin, Debussy, and Joe Hisaishi, each of whose songs I consider myself relatively proficient at playing. I love working with kids, especially in a subject I enjoy as much as piano. I have dabbled in composing my own pieces, often imitating the composers listed before, and would be able to give pointers to any student who would be interested in composition. Along with classical piano I also play jazz and improvisation, especially in the work of Art Tatum and Bill Evans. Ultimately what gets me going is to see students start to realize and pursue their musical potential.
